At around 3,580 metres, the destination also brings altitude exposure. A pilgrimage itinerary isn't a medical exemption: discuss suitability with a clinician, especially when travelling with existing health conditions.
Assistance isn't the same as effortless travel
Walking, authorised assisted services and helicopter travel have different costs and constraints. Ask about boarding points, remaining walking, luggage, waiting time and the arrangements if a service doesn't operate.
Don't book a service simply because someone calls it ideal for all senior citizens. Individual mobility, health and comfort determine whether it fits.
Registration and booking are separate
Use the official Uttarakhand registration portal and carry the required registration record and ID. Registration doesn't itself buy a hotel room or helicopter seat.
