By using pickthepackage.com you agree to these terms. They are short on purpose. If something here is unclear, email info@pickthepackage.com before you rely on it.
The short version
- We help you find and compare trips. Independent operators run them and take the booking.
- Prices and dates on the site can be out of date. Confirm with the operator before you pay.
- Mountain trips carry real risk. Check your fitness, your guide and your insurance.
1. What PickThePackage is
PickThePackage is a directory and comparison site for treks, yatras and holiday packages in India. We do not run buses, camps or guided trips, and we do not employ trek leaders. The operator named on a listing arranges and delivers the trip: transport, stay, permits, guides, safety plans and the itinerary itself. A listing does not make that operator exclusive to us or an employee or agent of ours.
If you book, the contract and the payment are between you and the operator. Get their cancellation, refund and safety terms in writing first. Nothing in this section removes a duty that the law places on us.
2. Accounts
You need an account to save trips or list packages. Give accurate details, keep your password to yourself, and tell us if you suspect someone else is using your account. You are responsible for what happens under it. We may suspend an account that breaks these terms or puts others at risk.
3. Prices, dates and what is included
Operators submit many listings. We compile others from public sources. Prices, departure dates, availability, itineraries, photos and inclusions may be incomplete, out of date, or changed by the operator after we show them. A listing is information, not an offer from us and not a confirmed seat. Before you pay, confirm the final price and taxes, what is and is not included, permits, the qualifications of the guide, insurance, and the exact departure.
Mountain travel carries risk
Altitude sickness, sudden weather, landslides and closed passes are part of trekking in the Himalaya, in Spiti, Kedarnath, Roopkund and elsewhere. Be honest about your fitness, follow your guide, and carry cover that includes high-altitude evacuation.
4. What you submit
Keep anything you send us, such as enquiries, reports and contact messages, truthful and about real trips or situations. Do not include someone else's personal details, abuse, or promotional links. Ratings and reviews shown on operator pages are not an endorsement by us, and we may remove content that breaks these terms or that we cannot verify after a complaint.
5. Using the site properly
- Do not send fake or bulk enquiries, or enquire on someone else's behalf without their permission.
- Do not scrape, copy or resell our listings or data in bulk, or try to break or overload the site.
- Do not pose as an operator, impersonate another person, or post fake reviews for or against a business.
Breaking these rules can lead to removal of content, a blocked account or blocked IP address, and legal action where the law allows it.
6. Public sources and no implied affiliation
These points apply across the site, including trip pages, operator profiles, search results and comparison pages. We find some package and operator information through Google Search and other public sources, such as operator websites and business listings. Google is where we look, not who supplies the package. Appearing in a Google result says nothing about whether a listing is accurate, safe or authorised.
An entry in our directory does not mean the operator joined PickThePackage, approved the listing, or endorses us. Business names and trademarks belong to their owners, and showing them does not imply sponsorship. A "verified" label or a listing is not a promise about service quality, licensing, finances or traveler safety. Check the credentials that matter for your trip.
7. Third-party content and copyright
Photos, descriptions, logos and trademarks supplied by others stay with their owners. Being publicly visible does not give you permission to copy them, and credit alone is not a substitute for permission. Reuse them only with a licence or another lawful basis, and follow the terms of the source. These terms give neither us nor you any rights over third-party material.
8. Reporting a problem with a listing
Operators, individuals and rights holders can report wrong information, unauthorised use of a business name, privacy concerns, or suspected copyright infringement through our report form or at info@pickthepackage.com. Include the page URL, what is wrong, why, and, where it matters, evidence that you own the right or speak for the business. Do not send more personal information than needed.
We review reports and may correct, restrict or remove the disputed material as the law requires. Being listed does not oblige an operator to accept enquiries or bookings. Privacy requests are also covered by our Privacy Policy.
9. Responsibility and your rights
Operators are responsible for the services they provide and for their own licences, safety measures, taxes, insurance and consumer-law duties. We do not guarantee what a third party delivers, but we stay responsible for our own conduct and for anything the law makes us answerable for. Nothing on this site limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited or your statutory rights as a consumer, including under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.
10. Changes, governing law and contact
We may update these terms and will change the date on this page when we do. Continuing to use the site after that means you accept the new version. These terms are governed by the laws of India, and disputes can be brought before the courts or consumer forums that have jurisdiction under applicable law. Questions go to info@pickthepackage.com.
