These terms apply to tour operators, trek organisers and travel agencies that create an operator account or whose packages appear on PickThePackage. They sit alongside our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
The short version
- List only trips you actually run, with prices and dates you will honour.
- Answer traveler enquiries promptly and use their details only to reply about the trip.
- You deliver the trip and handle the refunds. We only connect you to travelers.
1. Who can list
You must be a business or individual that legally operates the trips you list, with any licence, registration or tax number your trips need. You may be asked for your business name, city, contact details and GST or registration number, and we can ask for more if a listing raises doubts. You confirm that the information you give is correct and that you may sign up for the business.
2. Your listings
- Keep prices, dates, itineraries, inclusions and exclusions accurate and current. Remove or update a package when it is no longer available.
- Use photos and text you own or have permission to use. You are responsible for any claim that your content infringes someone else's rights.
- Do not make safety claims you cannot back up, such as unqualified guides described as certified, or "guaranteed" summit or weather outcomes.
- Do not add misleading discounts, fake reviews, or links that send travelers somewhere unrelated to the trip.
You give us a non-exclusive licence to display, resize and reproduce your listing content on the site and in comparison pages for as long as the listing is live.
3. Traveler enquiries and data
When a traveler sends an enquiry about your package, you receive their name, phone number, email, travel date, group size and message. You may use this only to respond to that enquiry and to arrange the trip they asked about. Do not add them to marketing lists without their consent, share their details with unrelated parties, or sell them. Delete or anonymise the data once you no longer need it, and honour deletion requests passed on by us. You are responsible for how you handle this data under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
4. Running the trip and refunds
The booking contract is between you and the traveler. You are responsible for delivering the trip as advertised, for its safety, for your own licences, insurance and taxes, and for paying refunds under your published cancellation terms. We are not a party to the booking and do not hold traveler money. Please publish your cancellation and refund terms clearly so travelers see them before they pay.
5. Plans and fees
Plans, prices and listing limits are shown on the pricing page at the time you buy. A paid plan applies for the period you chose. If a plan ends or is not renewed, packages above the free limit may be hidden. Taxes are charged where the law requires. We may change prices for future periods and will show the new price before you renew. Fees already paid for a running period are not refunded unless the law says otherwise or we have made an error.
6. Fair treatment of other operators
Comparison pages show operators side by side. Do not manipulate that comparison by posting fake reviews, reporting competitors without basis, or listing the same package repeatedly under different names.
7. Removal, suspension and closing your account
We may remove a listing or suspend an account for false information, safety concerns, unpaid fees, repeated complaints, or breach of these terms or the law. Where possible, we will tell you the reason and give you a chance to respond. You can close your account at any time by writing to info@pickthepackage.com. Some records, such as invoices, are kept as long as the law requires.
8. Listings you did not create
Some operators appear in our directory because their trips are public on Google Search or on their own websites, even though they have not signed up. If that is your business, you can claim the listing, correct it, or ask us to take it down by emailing info@pickthepackage.com with the page URL and proof that you represent the business.
9. Liability, law and contact
We provide the platform as it is and do not promise a particular number of enquiries or bookings. We are not liable for losses between you and a traveler, except where the law does not allow us to exclude it. These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts with jurisdiction under applicable law can hear disputes. We may update them and will change the date on this page. Questions go to info@pickthepackage.com.
