Triund is the most popular short trek near Dharamshala and McLeodganj, offering spectacular close-up views of the Dhauladhar range and the Kangra Valley with a relatively easy climb. The trail passes through dense oak, fir and rhododendron forests, culminating at an open grassy ridge that is a favorite overnight camping spot, known for stunning sunsets and sunrises over the Himalayas.
