Day 1

Manali to Chikka via Jobra

Tents

Drive from Manali to Jobra and trek through forested terrain to Chikka, following the Hamta River.

Chikka to Balu Ka Ghera

Tents

Trek along the Hamta River through boulders, streams and meadows toward Balu Ka Ghera.

Day 3

Balu Ka Ghera to Hampta Pass to Shea Goru

Climb toward Hampta Pass at about 4,200 metres, cross the pass and descend into the Lahaul Valley to Shea Goru.

Shea Goru to Chhatru and Chandratal

Tents

Descend to Chhatru and drive approximately 70 km toward Chandratal. Visit the lake and return to the Chhatru camping area.

Drive from Chhatru back to Manali through the Lahaul landscape and Atal Tunnel route.
