Day-by-Day Itinerary

Day 1

Drive from NJP/Bagdogra to Dhotrey

Lodge

Pick-up from Bagdogra, NJP or Siliguri Junction and drive 105 km (5 hours) through Mirik's tea gardens and forests, via Sukhia Pokhari and Maneybhanjan, to reach the pine-forested base camp of Dhotrey.

Dhotrey to Tumling

Trek 6 km (3 hours) from Dhotrey to the picturesque border village of Tumling.

Tumling to Kalipokhari

Trek 13 km (5 hours) through forest trails to reach the sacred Kalipokhari lake.

Kalipokhari to Sandakphu

Trek 6 km (4 hours) to summit Sandakphu, the highest point of West Bengal, with views of four of the world's five highest peaks.
