Hampta Pass, Himachal Pradesh

Hampta Pass is a dramatic crossover trek in Himachal Pradesh connecting the lush green Kullu Valley near Manali with the stark high-altitude landscapes of Lahaul. The route passes through Jobra, Chika, Balu Ka Ghera and Shea Goru before crossing Hampta Pass at roughly 4,200–4,300 metres. Many itineraries continue by road to Chhatru and, subject to road and weather conditions, Chandratal Lake.
